Two Chicago detectives, Michael Bradley, and Annie Potts are investigating a series of seemingly unconnected murders that have occurred within a week. Their victims and their killers have no apparent connection, leaving the detectives with no leads.    However, when one of the family members receives a mysterious check for a million dollars, they begin to suspect that organized crimes may be involved.  What further complicates the issue is one of the assassins is related to Detective Bradley.  They are unable to question her because she too committed suicide.    As they delve deeper into the case, they realize that a shadowy organization is behind the killers – and they will stop at nothing to keep their secrets hidden.  As the detective’s race against the clock to stop the organization’s next move, they uncover shocking secrets that threaten to destroy everything they thought they knew about their families, their city, and their own sense of justice. In the end, they must risk everything to bring the killers to justice or become their next victims.
